Who Can Use This Service?

You may be eligible for Safe Travels CFAR™ if:

✔ You are a UK resident

✔ Your trip begins in the UK

✔ Your trip is 150 days or less

✔ You purchase the service within 21 days of your initial trip deposit

✔ Your trip is more than 30 days away when you purchase the service

✔ You cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure date

What Can Be Reimbursed?

Safe Travels CFAR™ can reimburse up to 75% of eligible unused, non-refundable trip costs when you cancel your trip for any reason and meet the service requirements. Eligible trip costs may include:

✔ Flights and other travel expenses

✔ Baggage fees

✔ Car hire

✔ Excursions and tours

✔ Theme park or attraction tickets

✔ Booking fees and ATOL fees

What is Cancel For Any Reason Protection (CFAR)?

CFAR is a service for UK residents with existing travel insurance that allows you to cancel your trip for any reason and receive reimbursement for a portion of your non-refundable costs — even for reasons not covered by your travel insurance policy.

How is CFAR different?

Travel insurance typically only covers specific listed reasons for cancellation. CFAR gives you more freedom by helping reimburse non-refundable trip costs for reasons traditional insurance may not cover. That means more flexibility if: Plans suddenly change Work gets in the way You no longer feel comfortable travelling Family or personal obligations come up Your travel companion cancels It’s extra peace of mind for travellers who want more control over their plans.

How much money will I be able to get back?

You will receive up to 75% of your total trip costs which you cannot get back from anywhere else such as your travel provider (e.g. airline, hotel, tour operator) or your main travel insurance provider.

Is there an excess to pay?

CFAR provides partial reimbursement for any trip costs which you cannot get back form elsewhere. CFAR provides protection for up to 75% of your total non-refundable trip costs. For example, if you paid £1,000 for your holiday and couldn’t get this back from anywhere else, CFAR would refund you £750.
